    January 15th for fellowships beginning in July of same year.
     
  2. What is the dollar value of the Heed Fellowship?

    It is a merit award of $10,000.

    No.
     
  4. What specifics is the board looking for in an applicant?

    Special consideration is given to the candidate whose career plans include the teaching of ophthalmology and/or conducting research in ophthalmology at a medical school.
